4th Kuyamis Festival kicks off Monday, January 9, 2017

The 4th Kuyamis Festival finally kicks off this Monday, January 9, 2017 with a series of events at the Provincial Capitol highlighting the celebration of the 87th founding anniversary of the province of Misamis Oriental. The theme for the week-long Kuyamis Festival 2017 will be “Kahiusahan: Turismong Kalamboan Mapalapdan”.

Among the activities lined up are Booth Competition, Meat and Livestock Show, Tiangge sa Kapitolyo, Partners Bazaar, MisOr Food Expo, Destination Photo and Visual Arts Exhibits, Explore MisOr Modern Dance Contest, Municipal Cultural and Variety Show, Kuyamis Tree Planting, MisOr Cooking Demo and Food Fair, Miss Kuyamis 2017, and many more.

According to Governor Yevgeny “Bambi” Emano, the celebration will also highlight the province’s emerging tourist spots which includes 2 hot springs (Alubijid and Balingasag), 2 white islands (Agutayan and El Salvador) and more than 70 waterfalls.

The public is enjoined to visit the capitol grounds during the week.
