Amid numerous complaints of traffic obstruction and illegal parking along the national highway, a joint team of Roads and Traffic Administration (RTA), Land Transportation Office (LTO), Cagayan de Oro City Police Office (Cocpo) Traffic Unit, and Highway Patrol Group (HPG) will begin clearing city’s major highways from any obstructions beginning December 16.

Task Force Hapsay Dalan chairman Atty. Jose Edgardo Uy, together with LTO-10 Regional Director Oscar Salcedo, COCPO traffic unit chief P/Supt. Marlito Serna and RTA assistant dep’t head Engr. Nonito Oclarit disclosed this during a recent media briefing on the campaign.

Among the major targets of the operations include illegally parked vehicles, motorized tricycles particularly in the eastern part of the city, colorum vehicles and road obstructions made by business establishments along the highway. Moreover, the operations will be conducted randomly.
