A Community Fish Landing Center (CFLC) will soon be established in Cagayan de Oro City. This after the City Council recently enacted Ordinance No. 13142-2016 authorizing City Mayor Oscar Moreno to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) for the purpose.

Under the MOA, the city will supervise the construction of the CFLC upon approval from DA-BFAR including compliance to the site selection criteria and in accordance with the approved technical and engineering design by PFDA.

Photo above shows the city’s fish landing area near Westbound Terminal in Bulua which is privately-owned.
