Jiovani Jalalon is now officially a pro…picked by the Star Hotshots in the Special Draft today for Gilas cadets in the 2016 PBA Rookie Draft held at Robinson’s Place Manila.

The Cagayan de Oro native Jalalon dubbed “Bus Driver”  joins a team whose backcourt is already loaded with Mark Barroca, RR Garcia, Justin Melton and Paul Lee. But new Star coach Chito Victolero has said Jalalon is too good to pass up and sees the cat-quick guard from Arellano University to fit in his 2-guard system. LINK

The 5’9 Jalalon’s selection by the Star Hotshots was announced before the regular rookie draft.

Meanwhile, fellow Kagay-anons John Tayongtong and McJour Luib went undrafted and automatically became free agents.
