Arellano University’s Jiovani Jalalon leads two other Kagay-anons who passed the required two-day Draft Combine for rookies and moved on to Sunday’s PBA Rookie Draft.
The 5’9 Jalalon has the best chances among the three due to his credentials. The other PBA hopefuls from Cagayan de Oro are 5’10 McJour Luib (from Letran) and 5’8 John Tayongtong (from Emilio Aguinaldo College).
Luib is now an assistant coach of the Dela Salle University in the UAAP joining former Letran coach Aldin Ayo (LINK) while Tayongtong was an NCAA standout with EAC.
Fifty-three (53) out of 55 applicants passed the fitness test (LINK).
