Complaining of traffic? Hold on to your seats as traffic is expected to get worse in Cogon next year as around 3,000 market vendors will be displaced when the City Government of Cagayan de Oro starts its P17 million planned renovation of Cogon Public Market.

The budget for the project has already been approved by the City Council and officials are now waiting for the final rehabilitation design of the project which includes rehabilitation of drainage system and re-sectioning of stalls inside the three-storey public market. Like in the previous renovation work, temporary stalls for affected market vendors will be put up along the roads around the market which will contribute to the traffic congestion in the area.
