P77 M worth of pirated DVDs & CDs confiscated in CDO; popular Moviehouse closed

Have you wondered why you couldn’t find pirated DVDs anymore in Cogon Market? This is because operatives of the Optical Media Board (OMB) together with the PNP Regional Public Safety Battalion, Region X, confiscated a record haul of 371 sacks of pirated DVD’s and CDs in Cogon Market last night with an estimated street value of over P77M. The operation netted some 200,000 pieces of pirated materials in Cogon.

Meanwhile, Stargaze DVD Moviehouse located along Capistrano Street in the downtown area was also raided by the team and seized 700 DVDs and resulting to its closure.
