The crime rate in Northern Mindanao dropped 45 percent in the second quarter of 2016, compared to the same period last year, based on data from the Quarterly Regional Economic Situationer (QRES) by the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA).

Data showed that crimes recorded from April to June this year totaled 5,321 as compared to 9,631 in the same period last year.
