The Archdiocesan Shrine of the Black Nazarene (Nazareno Church) in Cagayan de Oro City will soon have a new altar.

As shown, a large tarp is now placed with what seemed to be the new look altar with two pillars at the central part and stained glass windows in the upper sections. It can be recalled that the said altar had undergone renovation in 2011 (LINK). This latest development may be related to the church’s elevation to the rank of shrine in December 2011 (LINK).

At least 150,000 devotees attend the annual Traslacion during the Feast of the Black Nazarene in Cagayan de Oro City.
