VIDEO WATCH: Xavier Sports Complex as of August 2016

Construction of the 5-hectare Xavier Sports Complex at Pueblo de Oro is now progressing with the 4,500-seater gymnasium now very distinct at the project site.

The high perimeter walls make it difficult to monitor the progress of construction inside the complex although concrete columns can now be seen from the road. But with this latest aerial video clip by Project Lupad and posted in Youtube, we now have a bird’s eye view of the extent of the construction which includes the parking area, perimeter road, main entrance, side entrance and the future site of the track oval. Watch the aerial tour below.

I am now working in cebu two years already.. who owns this, Xavier Estates or Xavier University? I believe this is located uptown. For business purposes, I think this is not a good spot. IMO, the best location for using this for business is somewhere between Laguindingan Airport and CDO high way. Just my opinion. Maybe the land was bought cheaper though. But his project is something nice!

It’s located uptown and somewhat was made for the purpose and usage of the university’s Grade School and Junior High School. Although Lumbia Airport has not been functioning for the use of the Kagay-anons, Uptown is thriving as it is a place where people believe is the safest when it comes to heavy rains because of the high elevation. This may seem irrelevant but Uptown is a place where everything is just a few stones-throw away.

The Society of Jesus is deeply rooted here in Cagayan de Oro and in other areas in the country. They established the Ateneo de Cagayan way back in 1933 and also established the Ateneo de Davao and Ateneo de Zamboanga Univ. They needed space for their agri school so they purchased vacant properties in the now Manresa Complex which also houses the SEARSOLIN. Now we have the Xavier High School and Grade School in Pueblo de Oro, the site of the sports complex that this post is all about. Then there’s Xavier Heights Subdivision for their employees and a high end Xavier Estates owned by A Brown Co (not sure of their connection). They also partly owned the Maria Reyna Hospital and recent properties is the Center for Integrated Technologies also located uptown. Source: Wikipedia,,
