RANDOM SHOTS: Water Pipeline Leak at Carmen Junction

A few days ago, motorists and commuters were both surprised to see a group of men digging a hole at the center of one of Cagayan de Oro City’s busiest intersections.

As workers were putting safety cones around the site specifically at the junction of Vamenta Boulevard and JV Seriña Street in Carmen, the public began to realize that the excavation was being undertaken by the Cagayan de Oro Water District (COWD).

And the putting of the notice further confirmed it.

Accordingly, the repair is related to the ongoing work along the Carmen Bridge approach (east-bound lane) near Commission on Audit (COA) Office where waterpipe leaking was observed a few weeks ago.

At first I thought they’re building a pedestrian overpass which is very much needed in the area but the supposed site for the central foundation is way off site so I guessed it’s not an overpass.
