City starts new access road to San Miguel Village in Lapasan

The City Government of Cagayan de Oro has started the construction of a new access road leading to San Miguel Village, a small hilltop community in Brgy. Lapasan.

It can be recalled that last year, a land dispute involving village residents and Mindanao Health Care Corp. resulted to escalated tensions after the only access road leading to the village was cut off by excavation works made by the latter. See some photos below.

As indicated in the graphic below, the new access road will be on the opposite side leading to an existing private road which is more accessible via JR Borja Extension.
