THE HUNGRY PLATE is the latest restaurant to open in Cagayan de Oro City located along the emerging dining district along Corrales Avenue, and very accessible for those who seek deliciously crafted American dish and locally crafted beer.
It is still on soft opening and guests are attended properly with improved customer service.
Here are shots of the interior.
Here’s the menu…first the appetizers…pasta, salad, soup…
then the entrees… they also have burgers.
Some food will be added to the menu soon.
Since their menu is mostly American, you can see some classic American photos on the wall.
Trying out their best-seller – MIAMI CHOPS.
Pork chops so tender and juicy – cooked sous-vide (pronounced su-vid) which utilizes vacuum and controlled temperature just enough to cook the meat.
Of course, it’s not complete without the dessert – THE FROZEN OREO.
That’s Magnum Chocolate and a huge block of Oreo chocolate cake topped with bits of dark and white chocolate …
Meanwhile, in case you like beers, at the second floor is THE TAP ROOM.
At The Tap Room, you can try out their craft beers made by various craft beer makers in the region. You can see them below. Take note of the ABV (Alcohol By Volume) which indicates the alcohol content in the beer; and the IBU (International Bittering Unit) which is the measurement of bitterness of the beer. By the way, it has the first craft brewer in Cagayan de Oro City – WHITE RAPIDS.
The Tap Room is a good place to chill and drink your favorite craft beer.
Here’s a sample of Fat Pauly, a local craft beer maker from Iligan City.

Trying out BEER FLIGHTS (P360 for 4 types of beers). As shown below I chose: Basic Course Pale Ale (CDO), Lumad Steam Lager (Iligan), Backbone Double IPA (Cebu) and Chocolate Hills Porter (Cebu). The Double IPA is a favorite among foreigners.
The Tap Room has beer written all over it…
The stairs leading to the Tap Room.
You can see some friendship locks along the railings.
Some locks have messages….
The Hungry Plate also has an alfresco area.
