Cagayan de Oro City singers Jeremiah Torayno and Debbie Cabague shown above holding the Philippine flag recently took part in the just concluded 2016 World Championships of Performing Arts (WCOPA) held at Hollywood in California, USA.

As part of the Philippine Team, both performers bagged medals in their respective categories. Debbie Cabague won Gold in the Western Country, Silver (Gospel), Silver (Contemporary), and Bronze in both Jazz and Open Categories (25-29 yrs old). Meanwhile, Jeremiah Torayno won two medals in the 18-24 yrs old bracket: Silver (Gospel) and Bronze (Country).

Overall, Team Philippines garnered a total of 175 medals and awards which include 39 golds, 65 silvers, and 43 bronze medals. The team also took home 21 over all division plaques, and 10 industry awards. Plus they got 1 scholarship from indasoul entertainment, 3 scholarships from the New York Film Academy, and 1 scholarship from the Millenium Dance Complex.
