“He’s really ripe for the pros.” That’s what National Univeristy coach Eric Altamirano said after Jiovani Jalalon, the fleet-footed guard from Cagayan de Oro scored 34 points, issued six assists, and grabbed three rebounds in leading the Arellano Chiefs over the Bulldogs 94-85 (LINK) in yesterday’s semifinals in the 2016 Filoil Flying V Preseason Premier Cup.

Jalalon was coming off a gold medal performance by the Gilas Cadets squad in the Stankovic Cup in Thailand. The win put the Chiefs into a title duel with the De La Salle Green Archers, who overwhelmed arch-rival Ateneo, 92-77 in the other semifinals. SOURCE.
