Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno was the only Filipino invited to speak at the 2016 Global Development Forum (GDF) which was held at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) last May 19 in Washington DC, USA.

Specifically, Mayor Moreno shared the Cagayan de Oro experience under the topic “The Growth of Cities: Fostering Good Governance and Opportunity”.

The GDF is an annual component of CSIS’s ongoing “Chevron Forum on Development” series, which seeks to highlight innovative approaches and the role of the private sector in global development.
