No, it wasn’t ABS-CBN who first switched from Analog to Digital TV. Please learn your facts. Better yet, follow DTV Pilipinas on Facebook to know the up to date DTV developments.

Is this the reason why, ABS-CBN signal in CDOC is no longer clear by just using a baron antenna? why do we have to purchase this TVplus just to enjoy a clear signal from your station? you are driving your loyal kapamilya televiewers away. Remember, it’s not only ABS-CBN that can be viewed over the air antenna here in CDO. GMA and TV 5 have a clearer signal over ABS-CBN nowadays. 1,999.00 is already a big amount of money to some wherein their priorities are food and other important things. Just for a thought…Peace everyone!!!!!

The Philippines is in the midst of transitioning from analog broadcast to digital broadcast in free to air. Hopefully, maybe in 2020, all analog broadcasts of all tv station will cease. White noise lang makita nimo after the official analog shutdown. Free to air lang na siya ha. Walay apil ang satellite services, (Cignal and Dream), and cable (Parasat, Sky, etc.). Naka digital naman ilang transmission. So, in the transition years, all people will have to buy set-top boxes for those para sa free to air na channels.

  8. Jack Cool Boy says:

the philippines is adopting the japanese standard ISDB-T or Integrated Services Digital Broadcasting-Terrestrial as a medium for digital tv broadcast. if your tv has an ISDB-T feature, you don’t need to buy set-top box such as abs cbn tv plus. or you can always buy a different set-top box such as the RCA DV1501 with tv recording, media player, features that cannot be found in abs cbn tv plus . but if you are a die hard abscbn fan, you may want to buy their tv plus since the tv plus carries four abscbn exclusive channels that cannot be viewed using other set-top boxes.

  9. Jack Cool Boy says:

If you are planning to buy a tv, look for a tv model with a built-in ISDB-T. some of the brands with ISDB-T on their tv models are Devant, Hisense, Sharp, TCL
