1st batch of 722 housing units from Japan for Sendong victims arrives

The first batch of materials for the 722 houses donated by the Japanese Government for the typhoon Sendong victims has arrived in Cagayan de Oro City.

Nineteen 19 of the 50 containers for the 722 houses are now temporarily stored in a vacant area of the Boys Town in Barangay Lumbia. Construction will commence upon the approval of the City Council on the land purchase of the local government where the houses will be built.

Sendong was in December 2011. Are you telling me we have been waiting more than four and a half years for the Cagayan de Oro City Council to decide on the land purchase to build these Japan-donated houses?!
