Former Camp Evangelista Commander eyed to head AFP


Lieutenant General Ricardo Visaya, who was once acting commander (2013) of the Army’s 4th Infantry “Diamond” Division based in Camp Evangelista in Cagayan de Oro City is being eyed by president-elect Rodrigo Duterte for the position of Armed Forces chief of staff.

Visaya is currently commander of the army’s Southern Luzon Command. If he gets the position, he’ll follow a list of 4th ID commanders who became AFP Chief of Staff as follows:

  • Ricardo David Jr. (4th ID Commander, 2007-2009; AFP Chief of Staff, 2010-2011)
  • Roy Cimatu (4th ID Commander, 1999-2001; AFP Chief of Staff, 2002)
  • Joselin Nazareno (4th ID Commander, 1995-1998; AFP Chief of Staff, 1998-1999)
  • Clemente Mariano (4th ID Commander, 1993-1995; AFP Chief of Staff, 1998)

    In the first place, the Liceo road did not need a road maintenance. It was really razed a few weeks before the 2016 elections by the DPWD despite the fact that it was perfectly functional. It just simply showed the extravagant lifestyle of the CDO government.
