Two-time world title challenger Milan “El Metodico” Melindo of Cagayan de Oro City gets a chance for payback with a rematch against Javier ‘Cobra” Mendoza of Mexico in the “Pinoy Pride 36: A Legend in the Making” fight card set May 28 in Bacolod City.

The fight will be an IBF light flyweight eliminator, with the winner earning a mandatory shot at the regular IBF belt currently held by Akira Yaegashi of Japan.

It can be recalled that last May 30, 2015, Melindo lost to Mendoza via a highly controversial sixth round technical decision in their IBF light flyweight championship bout in Mexico.
