RANDOM SHOTS: The Final Debate

With just a week before the elections, the political fever in Cagayan de Oro City is now heating up to the homestretch of campaigning. Have you finally decided who to vote for the city’s next mayor and vice mayor?

Last week, The Final Debate took place at Limketkai Center with the three leading candidates for the city’s mayor and their respective running mates in attendance: Incumbent City Mayor Oscar Moreno, former City Mayor Vicente Emano and 2nd Dist. Rep. Rufus Rodriguez. The event which was organized and initiated by the Rotary Club of Kalayaan CDO tackled issues on health, traffic, environment, taxes, drugs, crime, and urban planning. Supporters came and divided the Atrium into three sections. There were a lot of applause and boos from the crowd while the candidates traded barbs on specific issues.
