Last year, Sinulom Falls made the local headlines as the newest tourism site in Cagayan de Oro City.
Since then, the falls which consists of 28 falls cascading down the cliffs has been slowly gaining a number of visitors. The falls is geographically located in Barangay San Isidro, Talakag, Bukidnon but is best viewed from Tignapoloan side in Cagayan de Oro City. It is located some 45 kilometers south of the city proper and travel time of about an hour. Here, you can see the falls on the cliffs on the Bukidnon side.
A group of kayakers and rafters are seen along the river.
A short downhill (steep) trek to the river site will lead you to the river side… and across it are the fresh waters sprouting out of the rocks along the cliffs engulfed by virgin forests which according to locals still abound of wild animals like monkeys.

Local authorities are currently developing the area for picnic grounds and making it more accessible. As of now, accessibility is through this downhill dirt road.
The road needs to be improved which is why trekking is still recommended. Otherwise, your vehicles might get stuck along the rocky road.
With huge boulders, the downhill road is still very tricky for the best off-road drivers.
Nevertheless, once you get to the falls, it will be a sight worth the trek.
