One good reason why the Panaad sa Guadalupe in Cagayan de Oro City has drawn numerous devotees and trekkers in recent years is that the “Stations of the Cross” route is itself an adventure.

As shown in the map above, the nine (9) river crossings provides a welcome respite from the summer heat. Further, most of the route covers relatively flat areas and under the cover of trees.


Organizers have also placed ropes in river crossings as guide for the trekkers.

Because of El Nino, water level of Agusan River is low and is good for river crossing.


Still, carrying of sticks are advisable for leverage.
