The Mindanao University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Cagayan de Oro City recently released the results of its mock polls held last Friday, February 26 and showed Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte as the overwhelming presidential choice among the university’s students.
Duterte won with a landslide (72.40 percent) with Grace Poe-Llamanzares a far second with 13.17 percent. Others are: Miriam Defensor-Santiago (6.36 percent), Manuel Roxas II (4.66 percent) and Jejomar Binay (2.06 percent).
For Vice President, Alan Peter Cayetano emerged the winner with 46.06 percent of the votes. Ferdinand Marcos, Jr came in second with 21.15 percent followed by Leni Robredo (14.07 percent), Francis Escudero (12.54 percent), Antonio Trillanes (5.02 percent), and Gringo Honasan (0.90 percent).
Meanwhile, 2nd Dist. Rep. Rufus Rodriguez was the top choice for city mayor with 50.63 percent, followed by incumbent Mayor Oscar Moreno (27.51 percent) and Vicente Emano (16.13 percent).
