As much of the Opol-Laguindingan Highway in Misamis Oriental has widened to 4 lanes, there are still quite a few bridges still under construction along the section.
First shown below is the bridge at Taboc, Opol. This is the bridge nearest to Cagayan de Oro City and it seems work has stopped.
Motorists slow down as they approach this bridge as it absorbs the merging traffic from the National Highway and the Coastal Road. There is also a busy junction leading to Apple Tree Resort.
Note the elevation of the new bridge which is estimated to be more than 3 meters from the current bridge level.
This bridge approach is in Amoros, El Salvador City. Note the outer lanes are still under construction.
The bridge though is now complete.
This is approaching Poblacion, El Salvador City. This section currently only has 2 lanes.
Pile driving is underway.
Meanwhile, work on the new Alubijid Bridge continues.
Keep posted for updates.
