Upland rainfall and the management of floods are Cagayan de Oro City’s primary climate challenge. This is based on the report of the Business Risk Assessment and the Management of Climate Change Impacts Project, a partnership between WWF-Philippines and BPI Foundation which made a study on 16 Philippine cities.
In the said study, the city’s vulnerability level (climate change) is at 6.68 as shown below.
The study on Cagayan de Oro was included in Phase 2 of the project as shown below.
