In case you missed it, here are some of the works of Cagayan de Oro’s Ikebana artists which were displayed during the 2-day Christmas Floral Exhibit by the Ikenobo Ikebana Society of Cagayan de Oro held at Limketkai Mall.

Ikenobō is the oldest and largest school of Ikebana, the famed Japanese art of floral arrangement. Among the featured works are that of Teresa Celdran, Rosalinda Caragos, Maria Liza Guingona, Tellie Velez, Raisa Velez, Lennie Medalla, Maylin Celmar, Kim Tan, Fely Dacudao, Irma Mae Siao and Bro. Ed Mabelin, among others.

As they say it, Ikebana isn’t just putting flowers on a container. It is a disciplined art form in which nature and humanity are brought together. If you like minimalism, then Ikebana suits well with you.
