Renowned architect and urban designer Paulo Alcazaren was in Cagayan de Oro a few months ago (August 2015) to grace the inauguration of Pioneer Insurance’s LEED Platinum certified building in the city (LINK). It was also his first time in the City of Golden Friendship.
The multi-awarded Alcazaren also writes regularly for The Philippine Star with his column “City Sense”. In his latest column, he has good words for both Pioneer and the city, to quote:
“There is a certain vibe in the air of CDO that smells of progress”….By all measures, Pioneer and CDO are certified world-class in future potential and actual achievement.”

Early this year, Alcazaren received the Gawad CCP Para sa Sining Award, the highest award given by the CCP.
