Civil works are now underway for the connection of the Cagayan de Oro’s Coastal Road to the National Highway in Gusa.

As shown, the structures along the road-right-of-way have already been demolished with preliminary earthworks currently in progress. First set of photos shows the site clearing looking towards the National Highway junction.

You can see heavy traffic at the junction. Note the tree at center will be affected.

Even if this section is completed, the full benefit of the coastal road project cannot be realized until the section at Brgy. Puntod is cleared of informal settlers and then connected to the Puntod-Kauswagan Bridge. Keep posted for future updates.
