Ever since Laguindingan Airport started operations, the sight of its mangrove area and the clear coastal waters revealing the coral reef has amazed airline passengers from above.
As shown in the following photos, the site is just too tempting for dive enthusiasts. The mangrove areas provide a good habitat for fish. In fact, the entire 22-hectare coastal area is now a Marine Protected Area (MPA) – SOURCE. The MPA is intended to protect the coastal habitat in the area.
