On a relatively hot and sunny day, the Higalas Parade of Floats and Icons went on smoothly with the city’s educational institutions leading the way.

Xavier University, Mindanao University of Science & Technology, Liceo de Cagayan University paraded led the throng of participants marching through the streets one after another. Conspicuously absent is the contingent from Capitol University. Public and private secondary and elementary schools followed. A few schools came in late and was inserted near the end along with the civic groups. There were quite a few floats and only a few “Icons” were paraded.
