Last week, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) announced the completion of the P176 million Opol-Laguindingan Road Widening Project as better and improved access to Laguindingan Airport (LINK).

But the said project (highlighted) is just one among several completed projects as shown below (taken from DPWH Website). Click image to enlarge.


There are still quite a handful of road projects by the DPWH still ongoing as observed. Meantime, just browse over the photos below. Indeed, the highway has expanded to 4 and even 6 lanes in some areas. Sequence of photos is from Laguindingan going to Opol.

Heading to Barra. This is so far the only section which is still 2 lanes. I think another project is ongoing to make it into  lanes as the Taboc Bridge located just ahead is also under construction.
