PSC bares 7-Eleven expansion plans in Mindanao
As a follow-up to its recent successful ventures in Visayas, the strong pace of growth continues into 2015 for Philippine Seven Corp. (PSC) as the exclusive licensee of world-renowned convenience store chain brand 7-Eleven pushes through its planned expansion in Davao and Cagayan de Oro City.
According to PSC Business Development Unit Head, Francis S. Medina, the company’s growth target for this year is to increase the presence of 7-Eleven in the Mindanao region by opening up 35 outlets in Davao and 25 outlets in Cagayan de Oro.
The first wave of store opening will be in Davao City, in particular at the prime location in Abreeza Mall. While the first wave store openings in Cagayan de Oro City is at the prime locations of Georgetown Cybermall and Lim Ket Kai Center.
Last year, PSC has stepped up its franchise expansion in Visayas, in particular Iloilo, Dumaguete, Bacolod and Cebu City with 50 stores opened spread across key commercial and residential locations.
In the same quarter, the company also penetrated North Luzon with massive 7-Eleven outlet openings located in the provinces of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, Zambales, La Union, Pangasinan, Baguio and Ilocos.
These orchestrated expansion campaigns, which is part of a 3-year provincial expansion program have earned the brand and the company the solo market leadership in terms of presence in the said regions.
