To give parents and stakeholders clear understanding and perspective on the implementation of Senior High School in 2016, a conference is slated to be held in Cagayan de Oro City for the purpose.
The conference, dubbed as City LEADERS (Lead, Educate, Advocate, Design, Effective and Responsive Senior High School) Project, aims to show the successes of 10 pioneer cities (Cagayan de Oro City included) nationwide in the preparation of Senior High School, and to forge partnership with the different establishments.
Photo below shows City Mayor Oscar Moreno (seated, middle) during the Commitment Signing Ceremony held last November 2014 for the strategic implementation of the senior high school program (SHS) in 2016, witnessed by the Department of Education (DepEd), the Australian Embassy and several education advocates and LCP National President and Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista and DepEd Secretary Brother Armin Luistro, FSC.
The “CITY LEADERS Gearing for Senior High School” convention, to be conducted here on April 21 this year, is initiated by League of Cities of the Philippines and funded by The Asia Foundation through the support of the Australian Embassy.
