Cagayan de Oro City Councilor Lourdes “Candy” R. Darimbang is proposing 24-hour clinics in outlying hotels and the installation of global positioning system (GPS) devices and surveillance cameras in vans servicing the route to and from the Laguindingan International Airport.

These are among the amendments being proposed by city council officials to the city’s 19-year old tourism code which has become outdated due to emergence of new technology as well as the transfer of the airport, among others.
