A delegation of UN Habitat recently visited Cagayan de Oro City in relation to the plan to develop Lumbia Airport as a new economic growth center in the city.
The UN Habitat earlier presented their Achieving Sustainable Urban Development program which selected Cagayan de Oro City as one of the pilot area being one with faster economic growth.
The said program aims to develop at least 547 hectares of land and construction of housing projects, commercial areas, market and recreational areas in the old Lumbia Airport.
