Three outstanding students of Xavier University were recently honored as BPI-DOST Science Awardees: Paulo B. Araune, Karen Kate B. Gepanaga and Zamina C. Savenecio.
The award encourages promising young students to reach higher levels of excellence in these specialized fields: mathematics, physics, chemistry, engineering, computer science and biology.
The three exceptional students were selected by BPI-DOST’s partner institution every year. An awardee is selected on the basis of his academic performance and must be nominated by the school.
Shown below are the three awardees as they presented their respective projects.
Coincidentally, two of them: Paolo Araune and Zamina Sabenecio are among the university’s outstanding graduates for their respective colleges this year as shown below. Paolo is a Summa Cum Laude graduate while Zamina is graduating Magna Cum Laude.
