The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH-10) recently inaugurated two vital bridges south of Cagayan de Oro City.

Now open to traffic are the P230 million Cabula Nicdao Bridge and the P140 million Tumalaong Bridge. Construction of said bridges were taken from the National Disaster Risk Reduction Fund (NDRRMF).

The Cabula Nicdao Bridge connects landlocked Baungon to Cagayan de Oro City. Barangay Nicdao in Baungon town is home to Phil-Agro Industrial Corp. (PAICOR), a known cassava starch manufacturing plant. Sitio Cabula in Barangay Lumbia meanwhile is known as the end point of whitewater rafting adventure. This bridge was destroyed during “Sendong”. Tumalaong Bridge on the other hand is a section of the Kamatayan-Lingating-San Vicente Road. See some photos below.
