A portion of Corrales Avenue in Cagayan de Oro City is currently undergoing widening. This stretch starts from CM Recto Avenue towards Antonio Luna Street. Like in all road projects, warning signs are a requirement to be installed onsite to inform the public of whatever inconvenience or safety concerns relative to the project.

However, one sign shown below may have had the wrong word to post onsite. As shown, it reads “ON GOING ROAD WIDENING…PLEASE BARE WITH USE…THANK YOU”. This is just across Centrio Mall and at the corner of Northern Mindanao Medical Center. Most motorists and pedestrians ignore the words posted but if you’re a keen observer, you’ll notice it.

Obviously, what the contractor meant was really “Please BEAR With Us….” and not the “undress” thing….

Fortunately, ever since the sign was installed, nobody has followed the BARE WITH US.
