Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar Moreno recently led the ceremonial capsule laying and groundbreaking of the new 3-storey, 42-classroom school building at Agusan National High School located in Barangay Agusan.

The new school building will be built on a one hectare lot at Sitio Sambulawan and will be funded under the Special Education Fund (SEF).


Present during the groundbreaking were the members of the Local School Board (LSB), the department heads of City Hall, officials from the Department of Education headed by Schools Division Superintendent Elena Borcillo, officials of Barangay Agusan as well as parents, teachers and students of said school.

The project aims to address the continuing classroom shortage in public schools in the city.
