As posted last week (LINK), the old Lumbia Airport has been identified as a future growth center of Cagayan de Oro City under UN-Habitat’s Achieving Sustainable Urban Development (ASUD) programme which seeks to address urban development issues affecting today’s cities.
Shown below are screenshots of the ASUD brochure of the said plan.
As indicated in the plan, the 547 hectare area covers the airport and the area to the immediate west of the old airport runway.
Below is the conceptual plan map showing the various land uses as proposed.
