The Philippine government is planning to include areas in Mindanao including Cagayan de Oro City as part of its expanded coverage for a proposal seeking duty-free entry to the US for goods produced in areas hit by Super Typhoon Yolanda.

As proposed, goods produced or those with some of the processing done in the typhoon-hit areas in Mindanao will be allowed to enter the US at zero duty for a period of five years.
