Some flights from Manila to Cagayan de Oro and vice versa on January 15 and 19 were respectively cancelled to give way to arrival and departure ceremonies for Pope Francis.

Because the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) had announced the limited operations of NAIA in said dates, both Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific announced that the following flights were cancelled.

January 15 

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

  • Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila (2P2527/2528)
  • Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila (2P2525/2526)

Cebu Pacific

  • 5J-385 and 386: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila
  • 5J-389 and 390: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila
  • 5J-391 and 392: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila

January 19

Philippine Airlines (PAL)

  • Manila-Cagayan de Oro-Manila (PR1519/1520)

Cebu Pacific

  • 5J-381 and 382: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila
  • 5J-383 and 384: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila
  • 5J-397 and 398: Manila – Cagayan de Oro – Manila

Passengers booked on the said flights are advised to call the concerned airline for re-booking or refund.
