There were no scheduled night flights yet at Laguindingan Airport but continued flight delays due in part to the congestion at Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) and the late arrival of turnaround aircrafts have so far tested the night capabilities of the airport serving Cagayan de Oro and Iligan Cities.
Last Sunday, December 14, Philippine Airlines (PAL) Flight PR2525 from Manila was delayed by a little over three hours. The flight touched down at Laguindingan Airport at around 7:42pm. The turnaround flight was able to depart at 8:30pm. PR2525 is supposed to arrive at Laguindingan Airport at 3:35pm and leaves for Manila at 4:15pm.
Last Saturday, two more PAL flights from Manila also touched down at the airport and took off after sunset. The day before that, another PAL flight took off after sunset.
These extended flight delays has proven that Laguindingan Airport is now ready for the evening flights.
