Calvin Abueva shrugged off early foul trouble to score 19 points to lead Alaska Milk in drubbing Globalport in a highly physical game, 87-84, to regain the solo lead in the PBA Philippine Cup at the Xavier University Gym in Cagayan de Oro Cty last Saturday night.

Abueva also grabbed 6 rebounds and made some clutch baskets in the second half to thwart a determined rally by Globalport to earn Player of the Game honors. Globalport had several chances to send the game into overtime but Yancy de Ocampo and Terrence Romeo both missed their potential game tying shots. Romeo led all scorers with a game-high 26 points.
