Just as the Christmas holidays get nearer, street vendors have started displaying Christmas items along the sidewalks in some particular areas in Cagayan de Oro City.

In the following photos of JR Borja Street near Ororama Supercenter in Cogon, the supposed diagonal parking area at right has been pushed back a few meters by the presence of vendors selling Christmas decors and the usual RTWs and accessories.

…and up ahead, you can see the bottleneck at a junction.

Moreso, pedestrians cross anywhere as the city’s traffic authorities have not yet implemented the “no jay walking” policy in the area.

As they say it, this is just the beginning of another monstrous traffic problem in the city….and usually, these vendors will be allowed to ply their trade just for the yuletide season….in the spirit of Christmas.
