New ward rooms were recently opened at the 2nd and 3rd floors of the East Wing Building of the city-owned JR Borja General Hospital coinciding with the 50th death anniversary of former Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Justiniano “Tinying” Borja.
Specifically, the hospital opened 14 new wards at the 2nd floor and 9 suite rooms at the 3rd floor. The new hospital building also has a much modern emergency room, laboratory and x-ray rooms, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the ground floor which could provide better healthcare services to patients.
Accordingly, the project was funded by the Health Facility Enhancement Program by the Department of Health with assistance from the city government headed by Mayor Oscar Moreno.
