Philip “Papot” Paredes, the former star player of Sacred Heart of Jesus Montessiori High School in Cagayan de Oro City was drafted by Barako Bull Energy in last Sunday’s Annual PBA Draft held at Midtown Robinsons Place Manila.
The 6’5 Paredes last played for De La Salle University. His selection in the draft came as a surprise since he was inactive in the basketball leagues recently. However, his talent may have not gone unnoticed. Paredes was picked 3rd in the 2nd round.
Meanwhile, unheralded Maclean Sabellina stepped closer to a dream after getting drafted by Blackwater Sports.
