Philippine Seven Corp.(PSC), the exclusive local licensee of world-renowned convenience store chain 7-Eleven has named Cagayan de Oro City as among its major expansion areas possibly next year.
The city’s lively night scene has already spurred the growth of local 24/7 stores like Cham’s, Gram, C7 and Shoppe 24 in addition to known pharmaceutical store-cum-convenience outlets of Mercury Drug and Rose Pharmacy. Just a few weeks ago, Mini Stop, another 24-hour outlet is confirmed to be opening in the city soon. PSC is currently studying Mindanao and once approved, the first stores will probably open in 2015.
Last February, we have posted that PSC is planning to partner with Chevron Philippines Inc. for its Mindanao expansion (LINK). We may start seeing the first 7-eleven stores in Caltex Stations in the city.
