Just a few days before the unfortunate rafting incident, outfitters of Cagayan de Oro’s whitewater rafting industry scouted the upstream section of the Cagayan de Oro River for possible sites for a planned international rafting competition in 2015 or 2016.

And guess what, they discovered these wonderful falls cascading down the slopes…it was a marvelous site. The photos below showed the falls and the rafters. This is reportedly in Barangay Tignapoloan area, which is located upstream of Uguiaban Bridge or the start of the current whitewater rafting route.
